Wegovy Flextouch 0.5mg is prescribed to individuals who are diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and are not able to manage their weight and blood sugar levels just on the basis of exercise and a healthy diet. This medication helps you to regulate your sugar levels as it has Semaglutide as its main ingredient. It is classified as a GLP-1 agonist, and it acts like the hormone in your body by binding with the GLP-1 receptors in your brain. These receptors reduce your appetite by decelerating the emptying of the stomach. They also increase the secretion of insulin when blood sugar levels are high and limit the amount of glucagon produced in the intestines between meals.
